Creating a garden can be exciting—but preparing the space, choosing proper placement, working with soil, and getting everything planted can quickly become overwhelming.

Our Garden Planting & Setup Service provides hands-on assistance to help turn your garden plans into a growing space you can enjoy.

Whether you're starting a new container garden, filling raised beds, establishing a vegetable or herb garden, adding flowers and pollinator plants, or refreshing an existing garden space, we'll work with you to get your plants properly placed and planted.

Garden Planting & Setup May Include

Garden Layout & Plant Placement
We'll use your existing garden plan or discuss placement based on your plants' sunlight, spacing, and growing needs.

Planting Assistance
Hands-on planting of flowers, vegetables, herbs, pollinator plants, and other garden plants included in your project.

Container & Pot Setup
Need help creating patio, porch, or container gardens? We can prepare and plant containers using appropriate placement and growing considerations.

Raised-Bed Setup & Planting
We'll help prepare existing raised beds for planting and properly space and install your selected plants.

In-Ground Garden Planting
Planting assistance is available for appropriate existing garden spaces and prepared planting areas.

Soil Preparation
Depending on your project, we can assist with preparing existing soil and incorporating appropriate soil or amendments before planting.

Plant Spacing & Growing Considerations
Plants will be positioned with their mature size, sunlight requirements, airflow, and growing habits in mind.

Initial Watering & Care Guidance
Once planting is complete, we'll discuss initial watering and basic care recommendations to help you confidently take over the care of your new garden.

Custom Project Pricing

Because every garden is different, Garden Planting & Setup projects are individually quoted.

Your quote may consider:

• Size of the planting area

• Number and size of plants

• Containers, raised beds, or in-ground planting

• Soil and amendment requirements

• Materials needed

• Existing site conditions

• Amount of preparation required

• Accessibility

• Estimated labor and project time

• Travel/service location

This allows us to price your project based on the work your garden actually requires rather than using a one-size-fits-all price.

Materials & Plants

Plants, containers, raised beds, soil, amendments, mulch, and other project materials are not automatically included in the service price unless specifically stated in your custom quote.

If you already have your plants and materials, we'll review what you have as part of the project assessment.

If you need help determining what to purchase, Melanated Eden can provide recommendations based on your project needs.

Service Area

Garden Planting & Setup is an on-site service.

Our standard service area is within a 15-mile radius. Projects outside our standard service area may be considered depending on location and project size and may include additional travel costs.

Any applicable travel or on-site costs will be included in your custom quote before work is scheduled.

Complete our Garden Planting & Setup Project Questionnaire and provide photos and basic information about your space.

2. We Review Your Project
We'll review the size of your garden, planting needs, existing conditions, materials, and other project requirements.

3. Receive Your Custom Quote
You'll receive a quote outlining the proposed work and associated costs.

4. Approve & Schedule
Once your quote is approved and any required payment is completed, we'll schedule your Garden Planting & Setup service.

5. Let's Get Growing
Melanated Eden will arrive ready to help bring your garden plan to life.

Please Note

Garden Planting & Setup focuses on gardening and plant installation. It does not include lawn mowing, tree removal, major excavation, hardscaping, construction, or other traditional landscaping services.

Projects requiring work beyond the scope of Melanated Eden's garden services may require preparation by the property owner or another qualified service provider before planting can begin.

Garden Planting & Setup projects are custom-priced. The $100 starting price represents the minimum service/labor charge. Final pricing is based on the size and scope of your project, planting requirements, preparation needed, materials, and estimated labor. Please request a custom quote before purchasing or scheduling this service.
